However, all was not as it seemed as Sora was pulled from his world during the events of KH2 when he was about to fight Xemnas and dragged to a place known as the Facility that was run by a group known as the Consortium. This is a place where weekly experiments on run on the subjects, ranging from downright silly to so physically violent that it could cause death. When Sora first arrived there was a group known only as the Doctors who personally ran the experiments on the Consortium's command. They were only served food bars that some claimed tasted like cardboard with their weapons taken and abilities limited. Everyone had separate bedrooms but four rooms shared a common area with a single bathroom which really didn't bother Sora. Sometimes they'd take trips to areas known as Facility 3 that was designed to look like other worlds. Eventually they learned several secrets that were devastating enough to break a person and the Doctors were destroyed and replaced by a computer program named Val. Unlike the rest of Sora's friends from this place he arrived a lot earlier than any of them. He arrived during week 45. (Since it covers nearly 150 weeks of torture, I'll hit the important parts.)
Week 45 - Arrived to a failed experiment and learned all about the place. The only people from their universe was Roxas, Axel, Demyx and Namine (she'd been unconscious and not the current one).
Week 46 - Everyone was switched into different bodies, Sora had himself a creepy guy with a creepy smile. It was the first time he met the first Joshua (TWEWY) as Josh was in Namine's body.
Week 48 - CHRISTMAS! Santa actually came to the Facility and left Sora two presents.
Week 50-52 - Sora's first trip to an F3! It was a dino island. After FF!Cloud disappeared Sora took over running the search-rescue-protector station they'd managed to set up. FF!Sephiroth destroyed the entire place and Sora was forced to go up against Cloud. A young boy named Ritsuka was the first death he'd witnessed, was the first person he failed to save.
Week 53 - After returning to their regular home the rats were released on the Doctors. Most of them died.
Week 54 - Turned five years old for the first time.
Week 56 - His first Valentine's Day in Facility wasn't so good. A list of 25 rats' names were given and they were told they had to lay out their hearts, also 14 of Sora's friends were terminated. Not a good week for him as the observations consisted of everyone screaming. Darkness clouded his heart after hearing that to the point where tendrils were rising off of him threatening to turn him into Anti-Sora.
Week 61-63 - Sent to D.Gray-Man's London, complete with Akuma and one friend turned into a Noah. The entire place was leveled and they had to live in Allen's Ark for a couple of days. Sora adopted an orange tabby kitten after that, one left behind by a couple of his friends.
Week 66 - Visible posts from the Doctors. Ones that showed bloodstained sheets with nearly lifeless bodies under it. Someone also hacked into the Doctors' files and revealed that they were all just clones of their real selves. That everyone who was "terminated" actually died and was thrown into a giant incinerator all together.
Week 68 - With OOC week, Sora was attacked by Allen - knocked unconscious near the beginning and locked in a closet for the rest of the week. Riku V1.0 showed up after that.
Week 71-73 - Sent to Biodome's Rapture where Sora celebrated his first Facility birthday. It ended with the entire place flooded.
Week 77 - Riku V1.0 was terminated.
Week 78 - Solitary Confinement. The rats first interaction with Val included being locked in a small area where they were starved and tortured with a few others while a most of the Facility watched them on the televisions while popcorn.gif with beer. Sora was forced to watch a clip of Riku V1.0 burning in the incinerator.
Week 82 - Genderswapping week! Sora became a girl...that wasn't all that different from being a boy, this time. He was given girl's clothes though.
Week 83 - Sora's cat, Mittens, gave birth to six kittens. She was neutered later. Riku V2.0 showed up.
Week 84-85 - Dropped into an F3 known as Abyss which was actually the setting for another game. It came with some of the people trapped there along with some of their terrible slaver natives and a hoard of 4th wallers. Everyone was terminated at the end. Riku and Sora started dating.
Week 89-91 - Put into Assassin's Creed's Venice. During these weeks there were evil twins and Sora's turned him into Anti-Sora. His Heartless self attached to Allen's 14th and did his bidding for nearly a week.
Week 94 - Sora was skipped ahead to nearly 8 years into an AU Future but he doesn't remember it.
Week 98-100 - Taken to Psychonauts' Whispering Rock where Sora and his friends celebrated Christmas.
Week 102 - Persona Shadow week. Shadows had to be defeated or accepted to get rid of them.
Week 105 - The Facility's 2 year mark saw the "termination" of the project. Or at least that's what they claimed and all hell broke loose. When the week was over the computer program Val from before was now running the experiments.
Week 107-109 - DC Comic's Gotham City trip. Wasn't too bad for Sora except for the bad guys everywhere.
Week 115-117 - Labyrinth's Goblin City. Sora and Riku were married here.
Week 121 - Red buttons with the words "I Quit" were in the rats rooms. Hitting it would lead to death and pictures of their tortures were televised.
Week 128-130 - Trip to American McGee's Alice's Wonderland.
Week 133 - Zombie week. Riku V2.0 was infected and killed by Axel. Came back as Ansem!Ku the next week who didn't remember anything since Sora's year long canon sleep.
Week 136-138 - Firefly-based world. Complete with a visit from Reavers.
Week 141 - Sora's first death courtesy of Josh V2.0 (the one in game). He was asploded.
Week 143 - He came back to life.
Week 144 - Sora fell comatose and was terminated on week 147.
During the next few weeks Sora went "home". Or at least believed he did and came back with fresh memories of home and a brand-spanking new body. He'd gotten home to Destiny Islands and received King Mickey's note.
Week 157 - Makes a triumphant return to the Facility complete with memories.
Week 158 - The rats Rebellion, with help from Val, took over the station. The Consortium was no longer in control of the station. Sora and his crew moved into one of the mansion-sized houses that used to be the Doctors. This week was also the ship's 3rd year mark.
Week 169 - Each rat was given a time counter in their arm. In order to get time to survive the week they had to do tasks. Terrible tasks. Sora had to kill clones of his friends and very nearly couldn't stomach it.
Week 175-177 - Visit to a Japanese hot springs as relaxation before the Consortium comes to attack and destroy them all.
Week 182 - Battle with the Consortium. Sora was on healing/fighting duty to protect Val as she's connected to the ship's vital systems.
Week 184-188 - Stuck back in their original cage as Val and the robots work to get the station in working order. At the beginning of week 188 Axel was terminated and a bunch of people exploded due to the bombs placed on their hearts. Sora suffered his second death via explosion. Again. He was terminated shortly after so he could "return home" for new memories.
This time he came back to the Facility after going through a lot of the events of KH3D. He was once again dragged away just before a fight with Xemnas. Sora was confused with all of his conflicting memories and believed the Facility to be another dream world at first. Axel also returned but also from "returning home" and became Lea. Sora actually woke up before everyone revived from their deaths and helped in the revival process.
Week 193-195 - Dropped in Dark Tower's Devar-Toi. Most of the areas were destroyed before the three weeks was over.
Week 198 - Sora had to fight with a Fac-future version of himself that had gone completely mad.
Week 200 - Creatures called Weeping Angels invaded the station.
Week 205 - Roxas and Lea were both terminated. Sora forms a closer bond with Neku V3.2 because of it.
Week 208 - Shiki is killed and Neku with her right in front of Sora's eyes. Josh could do nothing to save him. Sora collected Shiki's body and her decapitated head.
Week 212 - This week brought Sora's final termination. He hasn't been back since. Sora will be taken from just before this week started. He'll be slightly injured due to the violent 4th wallers hanging about the station.
AU | Previous Game Differences (List form):
Physical
- Sora is a clone of the original Sora. The Consortium couldn't figure out how to stabilize them completely so he is prone to something called "clone sickness". Basically it means that he can just drop into unconsciousness at any given point in time. It can also mean that he dies at complete random too.
- There is a tiny barcode tattoo located just above his heart. It reads V4.0.
- Physically looks about 17 but mentally he's 19.
- Electric shocks no longer affect him.
- Slightly thinner than he normally is. And slightly taller. Not nearly as dark either.
- Always wears gloves.
- A large scar on his left arm from a healed week-long flesh-eating bacteria experiment.
- A long vicious scar down his right arm from Genie wish week when he summoned Zolephant. The Dream Eater turned on him like all wishes did.
Items
- He has a collar around his neck that cannot be removed (without taking his head off anyway). It reads H4S (House 4 Sora).
- Has a wedding ring and an engagement ring.
- Has a spayed female orange tabby cat named Mittens that sometimes travels around in his coat hood or on his shoulder. She is not afraid of anything. :| Before she was spayed Mittens had six kittens (most of which were given away). He won't have them all, just Mittens.
Life
- Was married to Fac-Riku on April 17, 2011 (though it's not exactly legal). He also recognizes Roxas and Axel as being married. (Calls his version "Axelea")
- Knows about Neku and Shiki dating.
- Knows an awful lot about Josh’s true nature.
- Draws pictures of his new-found friends in his journal.
- Sees Riku, Kairi, Namine, Xion, Mera (Replica Riku), Axel, Roxas and Neku as family.
- Is far more aware about Terra, Ventus and Aqua then he would be in canon. He spent the most time with Terra than Ventus. Aqua never actually showed up in the Facility but he remembers her.
- Sora's pretty much learned that familiar faces are not always people who know him in return.
- Sora is very used to living a 27 hour day.
- Even though he has memories up until his battle with Xemnas in KH3D Sora knows some things about what happens after. Axelea was the one to tell him about it. Like he knows that Riku was the only one to become a Master, that Axel and some of the Nobodies became whole again. That he was rescued from the Organization's clutches by Riku.
Mental
- Has memories of being FF!Cloud who believed he was FF!Zack.
- Has memories of living in Loveless world.
- Had his head messed with by a Skrull!Namine and real!Namine had to fix him up. She's seen some of this.
- Sora has become a bit of a hoarder in his time at Fac. When he finds supplies, he takes as much as he can carry.
Canon Standing: Near the end of KH3D. When he's stuck inside the Organization's Dream World and just before fighting Xemnas.
Personality:
This boy has a brave and very heroic personality. Sora is loyal to his friends, believes in them with all his heart and will go to the ends of the earth for them. There isn't a single moment of hesitation to what Sora will sacrifice to keep them safe, even if it means losing his own heart and he always has the utmost faith that everything will turn out just fine. It’s not just his friends that he wants to protect but all those around him even if he’s never met them before. While traveling with his friends it isn't uncommon to see Sora stop to help someone else out when he can. Even though Sora has his own goal that can easily overshadow the other things in his life there's no way Sora could ever leave his friends to fight alone, and it often gains the loyalty of those who know him.
He has an amazing capacity to forgive people if he believes that they truly regret what they did and usually when he forgives someone that tends to be the end of it for him. Sora can also hold a grudge against those who are merely faking regret and if they continue with their plan he will stand against them until the bitter end. While he knows that defeating the Nobodies was the only way to stop them he does feel a little bad that it had to come to such a thing in the first place. Taking a life is a heavy burden (Nobodies or not) and rather then trying to pass the whole thing off as something he had to do he takes the responsibility of ending a life which can sometimes make him feel a little guilty.
Sora is highly competitive and it often shows when there’s a chance to show off his skills – even if he fails time and time again against Riku and their numerous activities. It's not just Riku and his friends that Sora's always trying to get the better of but he tries to beat his own scores in various stuff and practices on his own if it's possible. He never gives up even though he fails showing stubbornness and determination in everything he does as he picks himself up and tries again until he gets it just right. When something seems impossible or out-of-reach Sora will face it head-on until he can do it the way he's supposed to.
A lot of the times Sora is very gullible and oblivious to the things around him, yet he is far from stupid. After he woke up the Nobodies would constantly call him Roxas and it annoyed him but despite all the hints he was presented Sora never figured it out on his own and had to have Riku point it out. Even so he's capable of learning new things so long as he has a patient teacher (or one willing to teach him in the first place) and he can even pick up various things on his own. Mainly he excels in the physical side of things like learning how to pilot a gummi ship, working on one, fighting outside of the box (like using chandeliers) and is even good with directions and reading maps. While he doesn't like things like school and learning from a book if another way is presented to him that's fun and interesting Sora can definitely pick it up. Sora lets his heart lead him most of the time and this can often help him figure out who left him stuff as hints to help keep him going to do what he needs to. On rare occasions this can connect him emotionally to someone enough to almost sense what they're feeling. If he gets really close to someone Sora can pick up on various signs and behaviors to figure out that there's something they don't want to talk about.
He is very friendly and out-going and often times he doesn’t let the bad things drag him down as he prefers to be optimist rather than pessimistic. Most people can find him with a smile on his face and it's very easy to get him to laugh or to get him to join in some joyous occasion. Sora can sometimes be described as a big dorky kid who enjoys just hanging out with his friends, doing some random childish activity like drawing (even though he sucks at it) or even slacking off by sleeping. He also tends to act like a little kid and becomes excited over simple things such as holidays or meeting Santa or the possibility of being king. This kid has ambitious dreams and it can spread to those around him into believing they can make them possible.
Yet he can be serious if the situation calls for it, easily adapting to whatever the moment needs him to be. While he doesn't have strong leadership skills it's not hard to see Sora in that position and it often draws loyal people who want to follow after him and stand beside him in battle. As time goes by that leadership skill has grown stronger from when he first left Destiny Islands but there are times when he fails and may not realize it. There may be times when he becomes discouraged and even disheartened but when he realizes that people need someone to be there for them, Sora can easily pull himself together as they are his strength.
Time, experiences and the people in Sora's life have widened his outlook no longer seeing things in black or white, good or evil, wrong or right and taught him to look beyond those simple things. He was so willing to accept whatever was put in front of him but since the start of the journey has begun to look deeper into people and situations so he can make better judgments for himself. At first he was even a reluctant hero wanting to find his friends more than to save the worlds. From there he started believing the whole romanticized idea of a hero that you hear about in tales and stories. While that has gotten him pretty far he's realized that it takes a lot more than just accepting his role, saving his friends and the worlds, defeating the bad guy and getting home. He knows that the fight between light and darkness will always continue on and has taken his role seriously in order to protect not just those close to him but look out for the safety of everyone he possibly can. Still a hero can dream of a better world for everyone, right?
At this point Sora knows that several people have sacrificed their own lives in order to protect not only him but the worlds and given up so much to make sure that he can continue on. When he was first faced with his Nobody Sora fought him without a second thought nor did he hold back just because he was under the impression that Roxas was just another member of the Organization to get passed. Once he learned the truth Sora instantly wanted to meet his Nobody (for various reason in my opinion) but when he did Sora was rather surprised and mostly unable to say what he wanted to. For all of those people who sacrificed some piece of themselves for him Sora is eternally grateful and will spend every moment he has wanting to express his appreciation. He even showed a hint of kindness and forgiveness for Maleficent when she helped him and his friends.
It’s rare but Sora has been known to get angry usually on behalf of some injustice done and it makes him act more irrational than normal. That can lead him into rushing into dangerous situations alone or even confronting an enemy that's way outside his league although Sora doesn't have suicidal tendencies he will sacrifice himself for his friends safety. Usually these outbursts are because someone has hurt his friends as most of the stuff done to him gets waved off as no big deal because as long as he has his friends in his heart then anything physical is just not as important. One of Sora's main weaknesses and strengths are his friends, they can drive him on towards his goal with a fierce intensity like no other but there isn't anything Sora wouldn't do for them - include getting down on his knees in front of an enemy.
Just because Sora's got a handy side to helping with mechanical stuff he is actually horrible with computers and anything regarding programming unless someone is there to explain stuff to him. He can easily pilot a gummi ship, help Cid put one together, use the communicator device and even physically fight a program Sora absolutely fails with typing as he utilizes the hunt-and-peck method on a keyboard and when he gets frustrated with it Sora's not above banging on it.
Nearly everyone is treated the same when Sora first comes across them and he treats them more like a friend even if they have a higher authority, but he does know when he should be a little respectful in certain situations. To go along with it Sora's very casual when it comes to things like titles or status, and while he may call them by their proper titles he treats them more like they're all old friends. Sora respects them all for all of their strengths and skills and will even admit that he would have never gotten where he is without them but that doesn't mean he won't sometimes go against them if he feels that's the right thing to do. He sometimes has an issue with personal space and often invades it for one reason or another. Other times people are the first to make physical contact with him and ruffle his hair which Sora gets indignant over but also enjoys it. There a few he's not instantly friendly with and those are the ones who are known enemies.
Over the years Sora's grown accustomed to always having someone around - whether it's Riku and Kairi, or people he's met along his travels - he's hardly ever alone so he often turns to them for advice, friendly chats or when rushing into danger expects to have someone back him up. He's the curious type always trying to learn new things about the country he's visiting and he can often have a blatant disregard for social status and maybe even a couple of laws depending on what they are - people's lives are much more important to him than some rules. All of Sora's emotions are worn on his face, what you see is what you get - from the happiest of smiles, to the angry glares down to the tears of sadness and of joy.
Key Personality Differences:
Sora is damaged with a capital “D”. That’s what happens when someone spends nearly three and a half years in a torture facility. Most of the time Sora tries to repress his damaged self but seeing as how he wears his emotions on his sleeve it’s easy to tell when he shuts down. There’s no hiding the hurt or sadness from his eyes when it comes. It also means that Sora tries so much harder to do silly things that will make people happy. Even though he’s seen so much pain and death Sora still clings to his childish things like Santa or having parties. If he sees the chance to do something fun, Sora will jump on it. Life in the Facility hadn’t been an easy one so in between the horrors he wanted to see people smile.
Losing people had never been easy for Sora to accept, he always fought with everything he has to get them back but now it’s even harder because there have been times when he couldn’t do anything to save them. Sora has had to watch the people around him die, has stood over them and been unable to revive them. Considering his relatively outgoing nature that tends to get him all sorts of friends, this means Sora’s lost of lot of people he cared for over the years and it never gets any easier. It’s actually a fear of his, to lose those he cares for, a major one. But it’s also why he fights so much harder to keep them alive, why he doesn’t give up on them even after they’re dead.
Injuries are something Sora’s gotten used to seeing. He tries to act professional when there’s a gushing wound or a broken leg and most of the time it works. It’s when the job is over that Sora allows himself to feel, allows himself to collapse and emotions to flood in. When he manages to heal someone it’s so much easier to smile than if he failed them. He’s also pretty self-sacrificing in times of trouble too, more so than usual, because of the limitations on his healing spell. It was reduced to only being able to heal a person once a day at 20% while he could heal himself all he wanted. So when he would get injured in a big battle Sora would only heal himself enough to stay alive and upright in order to heal other people sooner. Sora would also gladly sacrifice himself in order to save someone else, even if they were a complete stranger.
With all of the losses Sora has suffered over the years, one would think that he was completely beaten down but he’s not. While he allows himself to have moments of deep sadness he always manages to pick himself up – sometimes with the help of others. He surprised Josh with the strength of his resolve to face something terrible head-on. It’s actually the strength other people have given him, all the people who’ve died or kept going. Sora relies on it, sometimes more heavily than he usually does and sometimes he denies wanting company when he really needs it.
Due to life in the Facility and living years with Riku and even living with others Sora doesn’t do well living by himself. The quiet, empty feeling isn’t something he likes. He adjusted to the idea of having a home and not just a house. Even in the early year he always invited people over or hung out in shared spaces. Sora even took to sleeping in a public place just for the noise of others around him. The more happy chaos, the better. There are also other things that Facility has changed him, such as knowing that familiar faces won’t always know him in return or staying awake on Saturday night to check for the next experiment. Sometimes when he’s confused or surprised Sora forgets about holding back on information he has about other people’s lives but he generally tries to make friends with them all over again.
Unlike some of his fellow clones, Sora is pretty well-adjusted to being a clone of the original Sora. While at first he was reluctant to even believe it when the whole Facility learned about it, time has pretty much been his friend in this area. He doesn’t care that he’s a clone, doesn’t care that other people are clones as well because he believes that it’s their memories and feelings that make them who they are, that make them real. Being a clone won’t stop him from a happy ending, though Sora’s accepted that he’ll never go to the real Destiny Islands. It will, however, stop him from doing things with the real versions of his friends. Like he may never be able tell any Riku about his relationship with his clone version, try to keep his friends separate from the one he has so many extra memories of. Telling them about anything he’s ever been through in the Facility will be difficult, opening up on that part of his life isn’t something he wants to burden them with. It was hard enough to do it with the people who’ve actually experienced something similar. He tries to be like the real Sora despite everything: optimistic, cheery, friendly, and forgiving. Some days it’s easier than others to be like that.
There is one major thing that he doesn't even try to be anything like the real Sora and that's a hero - JR or otherwise. He's failed people so many times that at one point he couldn't even bear someone calling him a hero. Sora couldn't stand the idea of anyone thinking of him that way and even told some people not to. Recently he's allowed people to call him that but he doesn't believe it when said because he doesn't feel like a hero of any kind. He also has thing about promises made about staying with him or to save someone, even ones made to himself because he knows that there's just no controlling something like that in a place like the Facility.
Canon Powers:
Sora has the ability to call and wield a weapon known as the Keyblade. While it can act like a sword and be used against Heartless and Nobodies alike the main purpose of the Keyblade is to seal or open the barriers between worlds. It can also lock worlds Keyholes to prevent Heartless from finding the heart of that world and overrunning it with darkness. The weapon can also lock and unlock any lock, whether it be from a small treasure chest to locked rooms. With the changing of the keychain attached to the end the Keyblade’s change appearance and can enhance other features of the wielder. The weapon has one distinct feature that makes it very picky about who holds it and the wielder must have a strong heart or in a few rare instances someone close to one with a strong heart can wield one. Thanks to Ven's soul, Sora is capable of using two Keyblades at once though he has to be handed the second one and can't make it form like Roxas can.
Along with the Keyblade Sora has been given the ability to use magic and they can be strengthened the more he uses them. A list of his magical abilities are --> HERE
To accompany all of this he has physical abilities that help to enhance both his magic and fighting skills. A list of his (mostly) physical abilities are --> HERE
Recently he has learned about something called Flowmotion. It's an ability that allows Sora to interact with his surroundings in order to cross the ground much faster. When he uses the ability Sora is encased in a purple light and leaves two trails behind him. He can also use this to attack enemies. A list of his Flowmotion abilities are --> HERE
A_FACILITY ABILITIES
In all of the time Sora was at this torture Facility he had to learn to do things a little different as most of abilites were halved a lot of the time. It wasn't exactly the best situation to try any extremely powerful skills, magicks or abilities. However it didn't stop him from trying to learn everything he could. Whether it be with or without his magical ability. A list of these can be found --> HERE
Canon Weapons|Items:
Due to fact that Sora always loses his keychains to attach to his Keyblade in between the games we'll just go with the ones obtained in KH3D. None of them have any elemental aspects to them, just ones that wouldn't really mean anything in a real world. A list of them can be found --> HERE
He had no other canon items on him at the time.

Necho Cat - Lightning, Mind, Recovery
Cyber Yog - Lightning, Mind
Zolephant - Water, Mind
Tyranto Rex - Fire, Mind
